Teddy and the Coal Mine
With coal being an indemand natural resource, many workers are needed to get that stock for trade and such. This is why in the political cartoon on the left that Uncle Sam is pointin to a sign that says "We Must Have that Coal" since it is needed to boost the economy. President Roosevelt who is sitting on the chair in front of Uncle Sam is merely promoting what is also said on the sign as if he was a puppet.
The small people cowering below the two strong figures, have no choice in the say because of their size. All they are really able to do is follow the orders of their leader but soon enough, this will be the last straw that broke the camel's back.
